Timing your stage inspections on a Donnybrook build
Where the windows sit in a northern corridor program.
In short: Trades follow each other quickly here. These are the points where work vanishes.
A fixed program leaves narrow gaps
An estate build runs to a schedule, and the space between one stage finishing and the next covering it is commonly two or three days.
Slab pre-pour
Book the day ahead of the pour. Beams, laps, chairs and pod debris are all visible now and never again.
Frame
Where the serious Donnybrook findings live. Missing beams, porch post fixings and cut truss chords.
Lock-up
Termite protection, anti-ponding boards and roof damage, in the days before the plasterer.
Waterproofing
Once the membrane is on, ahead of the tiler.
Pre-handover
A week out from completion, so the list is with the builder before you sign.
